Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch OLED are getting one of the best Xbox 360 games at some point this year. Many refer to 2022 as a quiet year for the Switch, but the reality is that there have already been some standout releases, more Splaton 3, Bayonet 3, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Pokemon scarlet and violet, with more to come later this year. It’s not been the Switch’s best year, but it’s far from a quiet year. And now Switch users can also look forward to the recent remaster of Alan Wake.

Specifically, publisher Epic Games and developer Remedy Entertainment announced that Alan Wake Remastered is coming to Nintendo eShop this fall. Unfortunately, if you prefer your physical Switch games, you’re out of luck, as this will be a digital-only release.

Alan Wake retaliated in 2010 via developer Remedy Entertainment and Microsoft Game Studios. At the time of its release, it was an Xbox 360 exclusive, although it lost that full exclusivity in 2012 as far as the PC is concerned. Nine years later, a remaster was released with both DLC versions. Double Alan Wake remastered, it was released in October of the same year via PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. This is the upcoming version on Nintendo Switch.

“In this award-winning cinematic action-thriller, troubled author Alan Wake embarks on a desperate search for his missing wife, Alice,” reads an official synopsis for the game. “After her mysterious disappearance from the town of Bright Falls in the Pacific Northwest, he uncovers the pages of a horror story he supposedly wrote, but has no recollection of. Wake is soon forced to question his sanity. , for page after page the story comes back true before his eyes: a hostile presence of supernatural darkness seizes all those it finds, turning them against him. He has no choice but to confront the forces of darkness armed only with his flashlight, a handgun and what remains of his shredded mind. His nightmarish journey to find answers to the mind-bending mystery he faces will lead him to the terrifying depths of the night.”

Silly costumes and characters have always been the norm in video games. Think of the different Mario and Nintendo costumes in Bayonetta 2 — Witch Time in a Princess Peach dress? Yes please. Link in Breath of the Wild might also get Rex’s outfit from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. But let’s back up a bit and look at things a little simpler.

Nintendo Switch Sports has an online rewards system that allows you to earn points if you play random matchmaking. You can then spend your hard-earned points on a rotating selection of customization goodies for your Sportsmate. You get a small stamp card that you fill out for each item you buy, and once you’ve purchased all 12, you unlock a special outfit.

This week’s collection is called the Relaxation Collection, and it’s the fourth set to be introduced to the game after the Basic, Cute, and Soccer collections. There are cute green lotus print sportswear, a cute little purple bucket hat, and more. But if you complete your card and get all 12 items, you’re rewarded with a squirrel bodysuit.

Okay, doing sports with glasses, with long jackets, we can accept. But a bodysuit? Imagine how much you were sweating inside! Well it is different, we’ll give that to Nintendo. We’ve grabbed a list from Nintendo of everything you can get from the Relaxation Collection, so have a look:

The folks over at GameXplain showed off the outfit wearing it to play soccer, badminton, and bowling. The outfit is purple by default, but it will change color depending on the sport you’re playing – like in football, for example, you can see the squirrel’s body is a nice light blue instead.

Check out the video below to see the squirrel outfit in motion, and let us know what you think of this addition!

An upcoming Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED game has been delayed two days before it hits Nintendo eShop. It’s not often that a game gets delayed the same week it was supposed to release, but it does happen. The latest example of this rare event is cloud gardens, which will no longer be released on any Nintendo Switch console this Thursday due to a “minor backend issue”. Although the problem seems minor, curiously, there is no new release date.

“Due to a minor backend issue, Coatsink and Noio are sorry to announce that their chilling title about using the power of nature to reclaim beautiful lo-fi scenes of urban decay, cloud gardens, will be delayed on Nintendo Switch,” reads a statement from the former, the game’s publisher, about the delay. “The game was previously scheduled to launch on May 12, 2022, but due to this minor setback, it needs a little more time to grow. Unfortunately, a new release date cannot be announced yet, so stay tuned for more information to be shared soon!”

cloud gardens debuted September 1, 2021 via PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S after a stint in early access that lasted about a year. The game has not yet arrived on PlayStation platforms or announced for PlayStation platforms.

The game claims no critic scores on Metacritic, but on Steam, 96% of 1,447 user reviews rate the game positively, giving it an “extremely positive” rating.

“Harness the power of nature to invade lo-fi scenes of urban decay and manufactured landscapes,” reads an official pitch for the game. “Create small, plant-covered dioramas of brutality and beauty by planting seeds , reusing hundreds of discarded objects and creating unique structures that nature can recover.”

As always, we will keep you updated as the situation develops. Helvetians is a 2D Roguelite action game centered around exploring and adapting ancient mythology and history of the Gaulish Helvetii tribes as well as the myths of Celtic and other diverse cultures elements in a challenging and fast-paced modern action game with a beautiful art style.

Around a hundred years BC, all of Gaul was far from Roman control. In the lands controlled by the Helvetii, a Roman legion has been subjugated by the young warlord Divico, blessed with an ancient favor brought to him from parts unknown.

However, this victory came at a high cost, as soon the outcome of the Warchief’s pact would turn into a curse; an ever-spreading rot crawling across his lands and slowly corrupting his mind and heart. Monsters and cultists begin to appear all over the land, and a shadowy figure moves in, taking advantage of the chaos he helped create.

Take control of a diverse cast of characters, including a fierce young warlord, a naive but dexterous fox turned man, or a cunning druid wielding primal forces, and use their unique and varied combat skills to fight your way through through hordes of creatures and put an end to the rot that has gripped both the land and their hearts.

Combat in Helvetii takes many forms. Players will be able to create combo chains, parry enemy attacks, break their guard, juggle them through the air, launch projectiles at them, evade their most powerful attacks, and even use a variety of powers that will help them through the journey of adventure. ‘Helvetii.

Wreckfest has been a smash hit since launching on Steam in 2018 after an extended stint in Early Access.

EDITOR’S CHOICE: LOGITECH G923 RACING WHEEL

Bugbear’s spectacular banger was ported to PS4 and Xbox One in 2019 before receiving next-gen ports. Rounding out the console lineup, Wreckfest is coming to Nintendo Switch in June.

Nintendo Switch Wreckfest Pre-Orders

Those who want to enjoy the chaos of on-the-go vehicles are in luck. THQ has announced that digital pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version are live on Nintendo eShop.

Pre-orders for the Switch version of Wreckfest are now live

Releasing on June 21, the Switch version of Wreckfest can be pre-ordered for £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99. For collectors, a physical retail version will also be available on July 21 for £34.99.

Season passes

BugBear’s post-release support for Wreckfest has been outstanding. Several seasons have added new cars, while free updates regularly add free tracks and tournament challenges. Luckily, Nintendo Switch owners won’t miss out on this extra content as the two season packs will be sold separately.

Two season packs will add new cars and customization options for the Switch version

For the Switch game, two seasons will be available for purchase. Priced at £11.99 / $14.99 / €14.99, the Season 1 Pack includes 20 vehicles, 20 roof decorations and a car customization pack with new armor, rims and other add-ons. Plus, the Season 2 Pack includes 12 more cars for £9.99/$12.99/€12.99.

Nintendo Switch pre-order trailer

To celebrate the pre-orders going live, a new trailer shows the Switch version in action. Despite all the physics of carnage and track, Wreckfest looks remarkably smooth on the Switch, running at 30 frames per second.

This is a downgrade from the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions | S, which run at 4K and 60 fps. Online multiplayer is also limited to 12 players instead of 24. But those trade-offs are worth it when you can play Wreckfest on Nintendo’s handheld wherever you go.
