Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online expansion

Nintendo Switch Online members who choose the subscription option to get the expansion pack have access to a variety of emulated Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games. The Nintendo Switch Online Nintendo 64 library is set to grow slightly next week with the addition of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

What is the release date of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask?

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack on February 25. Set two months after the events of Ocarina of Time, Link finds himself in Termina, a mysterious world in a parallel dimension to Hyrule. Here he discovers that the world will end in three days when the moon crashes into it. Using his ocarina to manipulate time, Link must find a way to save Termina before it’s too late.

The game joins its prequel, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, in the expansion pack. Other Nintendo 64 games in the collection include Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Paper Mario, Yoshi’s Story, Dr. Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Banjo-Kazooie, Sin & Punishment, and Operation Winback. Three other titles have been promised to be added soon – Pokemon Snap, Mario Golf and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards – although we don’t know when that will be.

Members who pick up the expansion pack will also have access to premium DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The Mario Kart DLC will debut on March 18 while Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise is available now. Finally, there are nearly 20 SEGA Genesis games included in the bundle; you can find a list of them on the Nintendo website. These are in addition to the NES and SNES games included with the standard Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

In other Nintendo news, the Nintendo Switch Sports online playtest has begun. Elsewhere, Nintendo has confirmed that the eShop for the Wii U and 3DS will be discontinued at the end of March 2023.
