Popular Nintendo Switch game banned from Nintendo eShop
A popular Nintendo Switch game is banned from Nintendo eShop, which creates confusion and raises questions in the process. Depending on where you are in the world, you may no longer be able to play one of the biggest new games on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED, Dying light. Specifically, if you are in Europe, Australia, or New Zealand, you can no longer purchase Techland’s zombie game as it has been removed and it’s unclear why it was removed.
More on the Dying light On the Reddit page, one fan pointed out that the game is apparently not available in various regions. In response to this, the official Techland Reddit account has confirmed that there have been issues with the digital release of the game on Nintendo Switch and has provided the statement below.
“If you are talking about the digital version, due to the nature of the content, the digital version of the game is currently banned in Germany where the European online store is officially registered. This makes official distribution of the game in European countries impossible. and also in Australia and New Zealand, “Techland said.” We are currently working with our partner and local authorities to lift the ban as soon as possible. “
Techland goes on to note that the game is available worldwide through retail, even in those countries. However, if you want to copy the game digitally to Nintendo Switch in those regions, you’re just out of luck, at least for now.
As always, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the situation develops. While Techland has commented on the situation and seems confident that it will be fixed soon, Nintendo has yet to resolve the situation in any capacity. That said, Techland’s comment was just made yesterday, so Nintendo has plenty of time to post its own comment.
