How to change the main profile on Nintendo Switch
Even though the Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console, there is nothing wrong with owning multiple versions of the device, especially with the next OLED model on the horizon. If you already have more than one Nintendo Switch and have the same profile logged in, it should be noted that the first system to do so will be designated as your primary Switch console.
While your primary console can access all of the downloaded games without having to go through DRM checks, your secondary switch will need to be connected to the internet to access those titles.
For Nintendo fans who are planning to add to their library of gaming consoles with a second Switch such as the OLED or Switch Lite and who don’t want to have to search for a Wi-Fi point to connect to just for a session Of fast-paced gaming, changing your primary console is thankfully no chore. This is how it works.
How to change the main Nintendo Switch to a secondary
Activate your Switch that you want to change to Primary and log into the Nintendo Switch eShop using your primary profile from which you purchase games.
Access Account settings by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the eShop.
In your account settings, scroll down and select the Disable the console option.
With your secondary Switch, connect to the Internet and log into the eShop. This console will now be your primary switch.
