Developed by IzanagiGames, End of the world club is a visual novel / platformer created by the minds of Kotaro Uchikoshi and Kazutaka Kodaka. The title is designed to be less somber than the duo’s previous works such as the Zero Escape series, and seeks to deliver “a lighter, more promising tale that anyone can pick up”.
End of the world club follows the “Go-Getters Club,” a Tokyo elementary school group made up of eccentric kids from all over Japan. Reycho and the other members are somewhat different from the other children around them. Then, one day, during the summer… While they were on the bus for their school trip, they had an accident.
When they wake up, they are in a theme park under the sea. Reycho and the others are trapped inside this strange and long abandoned place. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a mysterious clown appears and orders them to play a “Fate Game”! Before any of them can figure out what is going on, they are fighting for their lives.
Can they survive and get out of this strange place?
The children are all lost and confused… But then, extraordinary powers begin to awaken in them. While at the same time… Abnormal events are happening all over the Earth.
